May 2022 – Powered Industrial Trucks
Our May meeting was hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette East Hotel. The lunch was sponsored by August Mack
Our Presenter: Michael Gagermeier from August Mack gave us an update on the topic of Powered Industrial Trucks. Assistants of this session participated with questions and experiences of their facilities. Current regulation, safe practices, and new technology to enhance safety were discussed at the meeting.
Additionally, two new members of GLASC have been sworn in as part of the board meet Robert Beck our new trustee, and Paola Richardson our new Webmaster!

APRIL 2022- The ABC’s of Respiratory
Our April meeting was hosted at Lafayette Venetian Blind Inc. and the lunch was sponsored also by them.
Our Presenter: Dean Spahr from Ritz Safety educated us on the topic of respiratory safety. Our group shared experiences with the fit test, and different varieties of respirators in their facilities. There was great information shared at this meeting in regard to the regulation, the wide spectrum of respirators, and resources to stay on track fo the SDSs.
