Our GLASC meeting for September was held at Huston Electric.

Our guest speaker Darrell Carmichael from Brady Corporation presented the topic of Arc Flash.  The message covered definitions, NFPA 70E guidelines and visual aids.

All members were able to learn and take away insightful information from these discussions.

In case you missed our March meeting, we had an excellent presentation on Active Trauma Release.  Our presenter was Dr Ryan Van Matre from Indy Spine and Rehab.  Thank you for taking time out to teach us on this important issue.

Dear GLASC Member,

The Executive Board of the Greater Lafayette Area Safety Council is pleased to announce that dues for 2017 will remain unchanged.
– Membership dues for companies with 99 or less Employees will have a fee of $50.00 per company.
– Membership dues for companies with 100 or more Employees will have a fee of $75.00 per company.
– Membership dues cover the period from January 1 to December 31.

The many benefits of GLASC membership include:
 Safety, Educational, & Professional Development Seminars
 IOSHA Updates
 Advertising Space Available on GLASC Web Site
 Networking Opportunities among Safety Professionals
 Opportunities to address Safety Issues & Problem Solving
Up to 3 Employees per company are welcome to attend each meeting

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity

 

GLASC members John Sanders, Genevieve Viduya and Brandon Coventry participated in our Habitat for Humanity work day on Saturday June 18th. We were able to provide hard hats, gloves and safety glasses to the volunteers and John was able to train 6 roofing volunteers on how to correctly and safely wear a harness and lanyard.  Thank you for representing GLASC in such a worthy cause.
