Our GLASC meeting for September was a successful ZOOM “online” meeting hosted by ABUS and Marketforce https://www.abus.com/us & https://www.marketforceinc.net/

Our Presenter: Lance Endsley – ABUS Regional Sales Manager educated us on the Topic of : “Lock Out Tag Out the #4 most cited OSHA violation in 2019: Planning and practicing the protection of your employees”. –See pictures and information below.

AUGUST 2020 MEETING- Child Restraints – Car Seat Safety

Our GLASC meeting for August was our first “in person” meeting since March 2020! The meeting was hosted at Connection Point Church https://connectionpointchurch.org/ and boxed lunch and water bottles were supplied by Kevin Pleak from Koorsen Fire & Security https://www.koorsen.com/

Temperature checks for all attendees at entrance. Masks Required at all times except when eating or drinking. Presenter was social distanced more than 6ft away from all attendees and stood behind table barrier. Social distancing at all times for attendees including chairs 6ft away from one another. Hand sanitizer available at all times. Cleaning supplies on hand and ready for disinfecting.

Yesterday GLASC hosted a COVID-19 WebEx with our local Tippecanoe County Health Department. Their Public Health Officer- Dr. Adler was able to provide our members with additional insight on general precautions and guidelines for our community, employers and employees to follow. We also were able to open up for questions with Dr. Adler.

TCHD WEEKLY CORONAVIRUS PRESS BRIEFING

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Tippecanoe County Health Department is announcing that Health Officer Dr. Adler, will be having a weekly press briefing each Wednesday at 1 p.m.

The weekly press briefing will start on April 8th, 2020 and will continue through COVID-19 response. It will be a collaboration with our community partners which include Tippecanoe County Commissioners, Mayor Roswarki, Mayor Dennis, and both hospitals.
